Crafting with mommy brain
Well, the “mommy brain” has struck again. I’ve been reading about how pregnant women can get a little absentminded, but I was hoping that was one symptom I’d skip. Yet it seems it’s caught up with me. In the past few days, I have misread the invitation to my 10 year reunion, I have mis-measured and mis-cut pieces for a Christmas project, and now, I have managed to keep an outdated coupon and toss the current one. I know, altogether they don’t sound like much, but add in the craziness that comes with the rest of pregnancy, and it’s a lot!
My biggest irritation is the coupon. It was a 60% off any regular priced item (with the exception of the Cricut and a few other items…) coupon for AC Moore. Anyway, the point is, I had it in mind to go pick up some of the I Kan Dee chalk. This would have really helped me with finishing up my Christmas projects. But no, I have to go and lose my coupon. I keep telling myself “I’m not crazy, I really did see a 60% off coupon, it really was there,” although it might be easier to think that I was hallucinating instead of just plain adbsentminded. I can’t decide which is the lesser of the two evils…
If you haven’t used the I Kan Dee chalks and you’re really into cardmaking or scrapbooking, or any other kind of papercrafting, these are definitely something I recommend. I’ve used the chalks that Stampin’ Up has available, and they’re really good too, but the I Kan Dee chalks have multiple color sets you can choose from, and they also have some with a bit of a shimmer to them. That can add a lot to a project.
Anyway, I guess I’ll have to keep my eyes peeled for the next good coupon… I know, they regularly have 40% coupons in their fliers, but hey, you can’t knock those 60% coupons – they’re so few and far between, and it’s a great deal!
