Out of town holidays
Don’t get me wrong, I love going to see family. It’s just hard being away from my family over the holidays. You have to think, I’ve been spending Christmas Eve at my granny’s and Christmas day at my Mimi’s for 20 years. Now that we have to swap off and go to either TX or NC for holidays, it’s a little hard.
This year, we’ll be travelling to OH for Christmas. My husband’s family from TX is driving up to see more family that live in OH. Since they’ll be so close, we’re going to drive up and stay a few days to spend time with all of them. It’s going to be a lot of fun – I’m really looking forward to seeing all of them again. The last time we saw anyone from TX was this past June, and the last time we saw anyone from OH was two Christmases ago.
Anyway, regardless of being away, I’m looking forward to the holidays. It will also be just that much closer to meeting the new addition to our family who’s expected this February!
